United States of America (Press Release) April 21, 2008 --
ROGERS, Arkansas --- The “streets” of the Pinnacle Hills Promenade in Northwest Arkansas will be transformed into a premier Art Festival this fall. The 2nd annual Pinnacle Hills Promenade Art Festival is scheduled for September 5 - 7, 2008 and will feature up to 200 acclaimed artisans from across Northwest Arkansas and the USA.
A juried show and sale, the Pinnacle Hills Promenade Art Festival will present artists in a street festival atmosphere of booths among the upscale shops and restaurants, lush landscaping, attractive water fountains, and charming architectural design of The Pinnacle Hills Promenade.
The range of fine art and fine craft will include unique, handmade pieces in up to 14 categories that range from woodwork to photography, from ceramics to wearable art, from painting to jewelry---along with other traditional and non-traditional forms of visual arts.
Admission and parking to the event is free to the public.
According to Festival co-founder Dan Stiel, “The Pinnacle Hills Promenade, with its fashionable open-air setting and more than 980,000 square feet of upscale specialty retailing, is one of the most beautiful and convenient venues anywhere for an upscale fine arts event of the caliber of the Pinnacle Hills Art Festival.
Our goal is to continue to grow the Pinnacle Hills Art Festival to rival any other in the USA for participation by acclaimed fine artists, while attracting art lovers from around the globe.”
Steve Schmidt, who is co-producing the Festival with Dan Stiel, and serves as President of the Eureka Springs Artists Registry, is leading the effort to bring the best artisans to the event. According to Steve, “The response from fine artists from across Arkansas and the USA continues to grow. With the growing awareness and interest in the Crystal Bridges Museum and the region’s established artist communities, Northwest Arkansas is continuing to gain national attention and stature among artists as a place where a great art scene is happening.”
