United States of America (Press Release) April 25, 2008 --
Join author Karen Harrington on her first virtual book tour with Pump Up Your Book Promotion Virtual Book Tours as she travels the blogosphere in May to talk about JANEOLOGY, the haunting debut Booklist calls "Fascinating...as much a legal thriller as a character study." (Kunati Books)
Plano, Texas resident Karen Harrington has been writing fiction for more than twenty years. Her writing has received honors from the Hemingway Short Story Festival, the Texas Film Institute Screenplay Contest and the Writers’ Digest National Script Contest. A graduate of the University of Texas, she has worked as a speechwriter and editor for major corporations and non-profit organizations.
She also authored and published There’s a Dog in the Doorway, a children’s book created expressly for the “My Stuff Bags” Foundation. My Stuff bags go to children in need who must leave their home due to abuse, neglect or abandonment.
Her novel, Janeology, is the story of a Texas professor who struggles to understand his wife, Jane’s, sudden snap and murder of their toddler son, forcing him on an exploration of her family history for clues to her unpredictable violence.
“I am so honored to be representing Karen for her virtual book tour,” says Dorothy Thompson, CEO and Founder of Pump Up Your Book Promotion. “Karen does an excellent job showing great depth to her characters and creates quite a suspenseful plotline that even I couldn’t put it down. I know everyone will love reading about this author and finding out what makes her write such suspenseful novels. Her tour should be really interesting and insightful!”
