Good youth soccer coaches quickly learn that they don’t know it all. The really good coaches learn two things quickly.
First, lose the ego. If you are coaching for you, you’re doing an injustice to your kids. Coach for them and teach them individual skills. Make your goal of winning to be “did they learn as much as I could teach them” and not the score of win / loss record.
