Canada (Press Release) April 28, 2008 --
For Immediate Release
GAO Comm Inc, a member company of GAO Group, has released a GAO820 Fiber ID
GAO820 Optical Fiber Identifier uses the technique of macro-bending, which is safe and credible. And it is not necessary to interrupt the operation and cut the fiber to identify the transmission directions. The check and measurement of current signal will not affect the normal transmission signal because of the low loss of this method and it can therefore test the transmission speed under the comparison light. It provides 5 grades of indications for the identified transmission signal and the optical signal. It is very useful to the engineer and technical persons to determine the proper core line.
Key Features
Detectors for naked fiber, close packed fiber and pigtail
5 grades of signal intensity indication
Detachable detector
Low voltage indication
Auto shut off
Chargeable Li-ion battery
Portable & Simple
Functions
Display transmission direction
Identify diversiform signal frequencies: 270Hz, 1kHz, 2kHz
Specifications
Available wavelength range: 800~1700nm
Available signal type: CW; 270Hz±5%, 1kHz±5%, 2kHz±5%
Detector: InGaAs (photosensitive interface: 1mm, 2pcs)
Adapter: -250μm for bare fiber - 900μm for tight tube fiber -3mm for tail fiber
Communication signal indications: Direction + discontinuous buzzer + intensity indicator light
