Columbus, Ohio – April 23, 2008 – Grandmaster Rick Moore of the Rick Moore Academy Inc., is hosting his bi-annual Four Seasons Championship Open Saturday, May 3rd at Whitehall High School. With displays of black belt sparring, youth grand champions, and Olympic style Taekwondo, the event is sure to be an exciting time for all in attendance.
“Competitors are coming from all over the country and Canada to compete against the best in sparring, board breaking and jujitsu,” Moore said. “We have competitors of all ages involved. The youngest is four years old and the oldest at 75.”
Grandmaster Rick Moore, founder of The Rick Moore Academy, Inc. is well known throughout the martial arts world as a three time world champion, national and state champion. Moore has appeared in the “Who’s Who in American Martial Arts” and several martial arts films as a stunt double. The Rick Moore Academy has trained thousands of students and promoted over 500 black belts and 50 masters since it opened in 1974.
The Four Seasons Open has been attracting competitors from all over the martial arts world since 1981. The tournament is billed as the most exciting tournament in the Midwest.
The Four Seasons Championship Open will bring in the “Best in the Midwest” to compete with competitors from around North America May 3rd at Whitehall High School, 625 South Yearling Road, Columbus Ohio. The event features traditional Karate, Kung Fu, Tae Kwon Do, Jujitsu, sparring and board breaking competitions. Doors open at 8:30 a.m. with events beginning at 11:00 a.m. Adult spectator tickets are $5 and children ages 6 - 12 are $2. Senior citizens ages 65 or older and children under 6 are free.
