United Kingdom of Great Britain & N. Ireland (Press Release) April 29, 2008 -- Personal injury and medical negligence claims company 1stClaims has taken on new office premises in Nailsea, Bristol. Formed by a former personal injury solicitor, Nicholas Jervis, the company has grown from strength to strength since forming in 2004.

“When I stopped practising as a solicitor to help solicitors with their marketing, I was asked by a lot of my former colleagues to help them with their marketing for personal injury and medical negligence claims. The exciting part for me was that as I had worked as a personal injury solicitor I knew that these solicitors that needed more work were excellent at looking after their clients, they just needed help finding them. Using my marketing skills I could see a way of helping the victims of accidents and medical negligence to find solicitors that would provide a genuine “No Win No Fee” service that would not cost the victim a penny and would ensure that they were dealt with by real experts”.

“The offices allow us to build up our team of client representatives to ensure that all of our clients receive a truly efficient service, understand exactly how the claims process works and to ensure there is a smooth hand over from our service to the expert solicitor we find for them”.

1stClaims provides a free service to the victims of injuries caused by negligence, whether they have occurred on the road, in the workplace, on holiday or in hospitals.

“As a former solicitor I handled personal injury claims for over 14 years. Having worked in the legal profession I have seen first hand that there is a right way and a wrong way to look after accident victims. I have hand selected solicitors who I believe provide the highest levels of service to accident victims ensuring as full and prompt a recovery from their injuries as possible. Whilst other claims companies often take several hundred pounds from the accident victim’s compensation to cover administrative charges, myself and my business partner agreed that we would never do this. Why should someone that has already suffered physically also be made to suffer financially?”

1stClaims has grown steadily since being formed. “Whereas initially we started by only helping a handful of people, as our reputation for connecting innocent victims with excellent solicitors has grown, we now help around 100 people every month and this is growing all of the time.”

“We have seen a considerable growth in whiplash claims and medical negligence claims (now referred to as clinical negligence claims) particularly”, Nicholas says. “It is sad that there seem to be a growing number of these types of claims which must be a reflection of the pressure put on consultants and perhaps the lack of necessary funding to ensure that negligence claims are kept to a minimum. No one wants to leave a hospital in a worse condition than they entered it, but sadly we see that happening more and more frequently”.
