Indianapolis Real Estate Agent Exposes Local Home Builder's Misdeeds

(Free-Press-Release.com) May 2, 2008 -- A local Indianapolis real estate agent has broken a major news story about a home builder that is getting its homeowners slapped with mechanics liens shortly after they close on their new homes. Mike Taylor from Rebate Real Estate in Indianapolis has written a telling blog post about an Indianapolis home builder failing to pay their contractors which is resulting in homeowners receiving mechanics liens naming not only the local home builder but also the homeowners in the court filings.

Although no news outlet has covered the story yet, Mike Taylor through his Indianapolis real estate blog has been able to get homeowners to step forward and tell their stories about how unpaid contractors for the local builder in Indianapolis are filing notices of intent to hold a mechanics lien for their newly built homes.

According to Mike Taylor's blog, "(The local homebuilder) appears to be on the verge on disaster and they are taking unwitting homeowners along with them. I have spoken with several homeowners in the Hamilton County area that have been served with these liens and have court documents to support their claims. The liens that have been recorded at the Hamilton County Courthouse that involve homeowners are coming from a contractor of theirs "who allege that they provided "materials, labor, services, and/or equipment for improvements to the property" in the last 60 days and have never been paid."
