United States of America (Press Release) May 4, 2008 --
Brides to be can now choose from a selection of over 1,000 designs –all available now at the new US postage rates.
Since the Postal Service began permitting consumers to design their own stamps in 2004, the demand for custom designed wedding stamps has been growing. Annie Slentz, postage designer, has seen a steady increase in personalized postage sales over the last year. She said “Brides are looking for unique ways to customize even the smallest detail in their weddings. Postage stamps certainly stand out on the envelope ... and make great keepsakes for the newlyweds.”
Custom postage stamps helps bride coordinate all details of the wedding correspondence. No longer limited by the selection available at the Post Office, brides can add a unique look to their wedding envelopes with creative use of custom postage.
Bridal postage now includes postage by month with a diverse selection of popular wedding colors and themes. Custom wedding postage designs can be customized for the bride and groom with their date, initials, or even part of their vows. Choices include wedding flowers such as calla lilies, roses, orchids, tulips and bouquets. Brides can also indulge in wedding cake postage with their initials, dates or other custom lettering.
Another line recently launched is themed postage for both nationality and destination weddings. Designs for Irish brides include rainbows, shamrocks and Irish verse. Chinese designs feature bright red and black with the double happiness symbol. For the destination wedding, brides can choose tropical postage, hearts in the sand, and ocean love themed sunsets. Themed wedding postage is particularly popular as brides fine-tune their wedding mailings.
Wedding postage also includes themes for engagements, save the date, RSVP, thank you and custom monograms. Bridal planners can also advertise their own company logo on postage stamps to get a unique edge that customers will remember.
When considering custom wedding postage, keep in mind postal rates increase on May 12, 2008. 2 oz stamps (generally used for invitations) increase from .58 to .59 and 1 oz stamps (generally used for replies) increase from .41 to .42 cents. Custom postage stamp designs are available at the new rates in various denominations ... for postcards, square mailings and heavier invitations.
