Australia, Commonwealth of (Press Release) May 6, 2008 --
The Scots-born musician returned to the music industry mid-2007 after a 7-year hiatus due to a lengthy struggle with alcoholism and has rapidly re-established himself as the gutsy Scots rocker that he was until alcohol took control of his life.
Findlay began recording in his home studio as a diversion from alcohol addiction which almost took his life. His music is now broadcast worldwide on numerous commercial and internet radio stations.
He has centralised his music to “ReverbNation” and recently overtook ‘Metallica’ in the rock charts. Findlay, who is usually rather media-shy, seemed somewhat perplexed when I spoke to him earlier today. “It’s a bit bizarre, really……I’m not that well-known, I haven’t sold countless albums and don’t even play in a band…..I couldn‘t think of anything worse at the moment, unless The Rolling Stones asked me to join them.”
In the rather short time that Findlay has been involved in music again, his career seems to be rising rapidly and will be worth watching out for.
