New York, NY - May 6, 2008 - Hijinx Entertainment, the New York City booker of comedians, magicians and variety artists for corporate events and parties stunned the world of show business by announcing it will win a Grand Prize in a soon to be concluded eBay auction.
Hijinx, know for creating unusually fun entertainment for parties and special events, preemptively announced the big win at their downtown Manhattan headquarters on Tuesday, before dropping off its dry-cleaning.
Even though the auction ends on May 8th 1:12 P.M. EST, insiders were confident of an easy win. “Right now we are the uncontested leader at five dollars, but we are fully prepared to go as high as six dollars if need be,” said Hijinx president Brian McGovern.
Mr. McGovern added, “We hope snagging the Grand Prize will establish us as an award winning entertainment empire in the minds of people who only read headlines.”
Hijinx plans on displaying the prize online at http://hijinx.tv before misplacing it.
The eBay item is titled “The Grand Prize Beer coaster - First Capital in Columbia which advertises Grand Prize Beer from the Gulf Brewing Company of Houston, TX. Coaster features the "First Capital of the Republic of Texas located in Columbia in 1836-37". The entertainment powerhouse has agreed to pay $1.50 for shipping.
