United States of America (Press Release) May 7, 2008 --
The website A Tribute to Ventriloquism (http://CosterJoe.com) is offering free ebook editions of A Pictorial History of Ventriloquism.
Recently the website A Tribute to Ventriloquism underwent a new and dramatic formatting change. All photos and text previously available on hypertext (htm) pages are now available as a two-volume ebook (in PDF format).
The first volume, subtitled "Makers and Shakers," covers ventriloquists from the 18th century to the present day and makers of hard figures (or dummies).
The second volume, subtitled "Faces and Facets," covers the topic of ventriloquism as it appears in various media: fictional books, non-fiction books, audio (cassettes, LPs, or CDs), and video (instructional videos, documentaries, comedy motion pictures, horror). In addition, special tribute pages devoted to the greats of ventriloquism are also included: Paul Winchell (with Jerry Mahoney and Knucklehead Smiff), Edgar Bergen (with Charlie McCarthy and Mortimer Snerd), Shari Lewis (with Lamb Chop and Hush Puppy), Jeff Dunham (with Walter and Peanut), and many others.
The new PDF format allows better viewing of photos (any picture can be enlarged as much as 400%) and more efficient ease of printing pages. More importantly, visitors to the site can download the files and view them later, at their leisure, without the necessity of returning online.
The two-volume Pictorial History of Ventriloquism is also available in paperback form. At the website -- http://CosterJoe.com -- information is available on ordering the paperback versions.
The website will also continue to offer audio and video clips of the great ventriloquists of the past.
Take a look! A Tribute to Ventriloquism is located at www.CosterJoe.com.
