"The Great American Peep Show" By Marah brown Rohovit

An exhibition by mixed media artist Marah brown Rohovit currently showing at Infusion Gallery, Los Angeles, CA.
The exhibition opens May 8.2008 and will continue through May 27th , 2008. This is the first exhibition by Marah Rohovit in the Los Angeles area and is the first showing of her new mixed media works.

Marah's intent for the viewer is to give attention to the contrasts and multi layered complexities of community by combing the elements of drawing and painting on one surface, Layering one over the other.
Ripped and torn canvas applied with some three dimension created by elevating surface elements. Canvas projecting off of the main two dimensional surface, penetrating with positive form the negative space surrounding the canvas. Elements of bright primary colors contrasted with earth tones. Black and white graphics combined with gestural paint to further emphasize the contrasting elements in community.

Chaos, rhythms static, flowing.....
