Fresh look at the surrogate baby business.
The two Saturday Night Live gals, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler should get future offers for their performances were genuine and likeable. They made the transition from little screen to big screen in a big way.
Greg Kinnear once again demonstrated he can have a serious/romantic side. Sigourney Weaver is delightfully obnoxious as the “senior” mama. And Steve Martin - as always - is hilarious and leaves you wanting more Steve Martin.
Once again we have an engaging picture that doesn’t resort to using sex or raunchy language or cell phones to tell the story in an entertaining way. There is a dollop of bathroom humor, but it’s justified in drawing a line between the sensitivities of the two main characters. Hats off to Michael McCullers, especially for the writing.
