United States of America (Press Release) May 15, 2008 --
Tight restrictions often prevent U.S. prison inmates from receiving books or other reading materials from private citizens. So for years, Eshe* has overcome this obstacle by having his books shipped directly from his publisher.
“There are many men and women who do not get the literature that aids in their healing because of this restriction of the prisons,” says Eshe. “Since all of my books ship directly from the publisher, inmates won’t have trouble receiving My Love. I’ve been doing this for a number of years with all my books and I’ve never had a returned book.”
Friends and family of inmates will be able to place orders directly from NathanEshe.com and be notified when the My Love ships. In the case where a book is returned from a correctional facility, the book will then be returned to the purchaser.
“I also receive many requests from inmates who don’t have anyone to send them books to read,” says Eshe. “In those cases, I usually send the books for free. This way we break down both barriers. The book comes from the publisher so we get into the prison, and, in some situations, the inmates get the book at no costs if they have no means. It’s about healing, not making money.”
Materials are included to open a dialog about manhood and womanhood within the hearts of those who are institutionalized. This dialog is for men and women, and is designed to initiate or further their own process of healing. Direct request from inmates must be sent by mail.
Inmates can mail their request for My Love directly to:
