EducationDynamics adds roundtables and second panel to already extensive National Dialog on Student Retention Conference program

Hoboken, New Jersey (May 15, 2008)—EducationDynamics, higher education’s leading marketing company dedicated to helping institutions find, enroll and retain students, has announced the addition of a second panel discussion and ten roundtable sessions to its already extensive National Dialog on Student Retention Conference program. The one-and-a-half-day conference will be held in Atlanta, Georgia June 2-3, 2008.
Featuring critical information and expert advice for not-for-profit and for-profit institutions responsible for retaining students for graduate, undergraduate, on-campus and online programs, the second panel will address the unique retention challenges presented by minority students. Entitled One Strategy Does Not Fit All: Key Tenets of Successful Minority Student Retention, the panel will be moderated by Scott Jaschik, CEO and editor of Inside Higher Ed, and will feature a panel of retention experts, including:

• Dr. Rodrick Moore, University of South Carolina
• Dr. Idelia Phillips, Manatee Community College
• Sheila McCants, Manatee Community College
EducationDynamics has completed the conference program with the addition of ten roundtable discussions designed to foster dialog among conference attendees, encouraging the analysis of emerging trends and the exchange of best practices in student retention. The roundtables, held concurrently at the conclusion of the conference, will address the following topics:

Dr. Kenneth Hartman, academic director at Drexel University Online, has been added to the conference lineup as a breakout session presenter. Entitled Retaining Online Degree Students: Different Needs-Different Methods, the presentation will explore how online degree students differ from their on-campus counterparts and looks at the issues surrounding their academic engagement and motivation.
