IBIZA INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL - 2ND EDITION
THE RETURN OF THE FALCON – THE INDEPENDENT SPIRIT
PARKER TO JOIN HURT and GILLIAM as patron to Ibiza International Film Festival.
The Second Edition of the IbizaIff welcomes veteran director, Sir Alan Parker (Angela’s Ashes, The Commitments, Evita and Midnight Express) as Patron.
Parker, a pioneer of UK cinema, who was knighted for his tireless promotion of the UK film industry joins Actor, John Hurt and Director Terry Gilliam as third patron of the festival held on the island since 2007.
Friday May 23rd 2008 sees the kick off of only the second edition of the IbizaIff – with a great jury line up and new digital section.
Also assisting this year are Mike Figgis, Jacqueline Bisset, Mira Sorvino and Kate Ashfield.
The IbizaIff “celebrating the independent Spirit” also continues with feature films both in and out of competition, for further details visit www.ibizaiff.org .
The festival will run from Friday May 23 through to 31 May in venues throughout the island culminating with an awards ceremony taking place at the brand new Palacio de Congreso.
