People Are Earning Thousands Monthly, But Is It Legal?

There’s a grassroots movement rolling across the country – its called “Cash Gifting” or “Gifting”.
If you’ve hit this site, you’re looking for information on “Gifting” and wondering if this activity is “legal”. Black’s Law Dictionary, 6th Ed, defines “legal” as “permitted by law; not forbidden or discountenanced . . lawful.”
Actual gift giving is not illegal in America. [Question: Did you ask your attorney if it was OKAY to receive $50.00 cash from your Grandma on your last birthday and how you were supposed to report it? Didn’t think so!]
Gift giving is LEGAL and LAWFUL. The US Congress has actually passed laws which have been implemented in the Internal Revenue Code (USC Title 26). Don’t take my word for it, go look it up for yourself! Under the Code, you can receive gifts from one individual up to $12,000 or for a total of $1 million annually. [We’re not attorneys and we’re not giving out legal advice.] If you’re unsure about the legalities of receiving a gift and reporting requirements, go ahead and call the IRS – they’ll give you the Code section and tell you the gift limits over the phone. Now what about those Gifting programs? How do they work?
“Gifting” programs are normally private, by invitation only. So you have to be invited by someone you know in order to join. The most popular is called the “1UP” system. Basically this is how it works: John joins a Gifting Program. He sends a gift to his sponsor and then finds someone to join him in the program – say its Bill. John gives Bill to his sponsor as a Gift and then goes on to start his own group. Its that simple.
If you see or you are contacted by someone marketing a “Gifting” program as a Commercial program (Make Money, Receive Income) or makes promises that you are going to get a “return” or that its an “investment” – its not a “Gifting” program.
In order to keep the activity legal, there are guidelines that must be followed or its no longer a “Gift”. If you decide to get involved in a specific Gifting program, make sure that your inviter is following those guidelines. Ask questions about the program, and whether or not your “sponsor” or inviter is going to mentor you in the process.
Gifting as an activity can be a lot of fun and give you the opportunity to help others that are in need. All it takes on your part is willingness and commitment.
