Re: Ronald Savage, Charge No. 520-2008-0070

I Ronald Savage do not accept the settlement agreement, and some of the terms presented by Cambridge Security. I fell very insulted after stating my issues regarding Mr. R. Martell, Cambridge Director of Human Resources. In an e-mail I sent to Mr. Dave Malefsky, Senior V.P. dated 11/09/2007, I stated I felt uncomfortable, dealing with Mr. Martell, he stated to me, he rattler I lie to him then tell the truth, this man has called me a liar in my face, just to cover for one of his staff, this is one of many issues, which lead to the attorney general office, issuing a letter of allegations of retaliation, dated Aug, 14th, 2007 to Cambridge. Cambridge Security named Ralph Martell, not once but twice in the draft settlement. * Any employer seeking a reference is to contact Ralph Martell, in the event I receive a subpoena, or other mandate pursuant to law for information; I am to transmit a copy to Ralph Martell.

Ralph Martell is at the forefront of the Attorney General being contacted regarding the uniform issues. This is the same person who stated in a telephone conversation with me (which may be brought into play, not regarding this case), that I had two options, (with respect to the uniform case) 1– rent my uniform with Cambridge, OR I DON’T WORK FOR CAMBRIDGE, and made reference to Cambridge has lawyers.

Allegedly, he also plays (in house decision) apart of this disability discrimination case against Cambridge with the EEOC. With respect to settling this issue with Cambridge, it is in everyone’s best interest, to remove Ralph Martell’s name, and presents in any settlement agreement, regarding I Ronald Savage.

I have been on temporary layoff from Cambridge Security for 6 months. This is a clear contradiction from a letter written by Cambridge Security dated 11/30/07, and an E-Mail dated 11/26/07.

I have been mislead by Cambridge with hopes of returning to work for Cambridge Security, this mislead went on for months, Mr. Harris was stating to me, on a telephone conversation, each time I called that he may have a site for me, but he’s not sure, and for me to call him next week. Cambridge Security actions for approx, the pass 6 months speaks for itself. Not only has Cambridge cause me monetary inconvenience, I have been discriminated against, harassed, and a victim of pain and suffering at the hands of Cambridge Security. I’ve stated I would settle this case with Cambridge for $14,000 (approx half year salary). Cambridge again has been arrogant, and bodacious by offering me approx $7,300 as a settlement, allegedly saying they gave me ($5,500) unemployment, and paid me for approx 2 weeks after the discrimination ( I’m not sure what week was my hold over check, for when I first worked).

*Unemployment does not count toward a settlement offer *

On the verge of poverty, desperation, and no general council, I then came back with an offer of $8,000, which Cambridge said they would accept that offer. After waiting approx two weeks after the offer, I was e-mailed a daft agreement by Kauff McClain & McGuire LLP, attorneys for Cambridge Security Services Corp.

After reading this agreement, and knowing that Cambridge waited approx two weeks before my employment ran out to finally communicate with me, this comes after my 10 year old son, and 8 year old twins Con Edison, was cut off in their apt, to which I was, and still am paying for. This is a direct cause of Cambridge Security not making any reasonable accommodation to my known disability. I am insulted, hurt and in pain knowing from the start, I done nothing wrong. All I wanted was not to work the non-mandated extra 8 hours on my day-off. I wanted to give my body a short rest, and give my new medication a chance to work, so I won’t be in pain, due to a neurological disorder. I had been working on my day off for approx 6-7 years. In security there maybe day’s you might have to hold over and I wanted to make sure I gave Cambridge and 1500 Noble my best. I gave 1500 Noble approx 12 years of great service; this comes with my same disability, that I had practically all my life. Requesting my day off back was by no way Undue hardship. (Doctor Letter – states offer)

I do want to settle these issues, I am re-requesting $14,000 as my settlement offer, as I currently do not have any employer income coming in. I have retained Daniel Figueroa III, Esq. as council, to address all issues regarding the draft settle agreement.
Before all this, I was working and bringing income to my family, Cambridge has inconvenience my life in a big way.

Thank you in advance

Ronald Savage
