United States of America (Press Release) June 3, 2008 --
Equitrekking®, the Public Television travel television series that explores great horseback riding destinations around the world, is excited to announce its summer online television line-up, featuring a new video clip each week at Equitrekking.com, the one-stop site for equestrian travel and companion to the Public Television series.
Each Tuesday at 9am starting June 10th and throughout the summer, visitors can watch stunning footage of horses and travel destinations from Hawaii’s Big Island, Iceland, Kentucky, Ireland, Costa Rica, Maui, Belize, Utah and more. Shot in high definition and hosted by equestrian travel expert Darley Newman, the Equitrekking series travels off the beaten path, riding with local people to get an in-depth look at a destination’s natural surroundings and history.
“We have so many great travel experiences that don’t make it into our Public Television series that we want to share with visitors,” said Equitrekking’s host and equestrian travel expert Darley Newman, who created the series to combine her passion for horses and travel. “With our online channel, visitors can watch Equitrekking TV online anywhere at anytime. It’s a great tool for those looking to plan an equestrian vacation or just want to escape through our beautiful and exciting high definition travels.”
Equitrekking.com has been online since 2004, providing information on the best places to go horseback riding with online video, travel articles, expert travel advice and stunning photographs. Equitrekking currently has a 13 episode series broadcast on PBS stations across the nation and on CREATE, Public Television’s nationwide cooking, travel and lifestyle channel. In September, the Equitrekking: Travel Adventures on Horseback companion coffee table book will be released, along with a new third season of episodes featuring Quebec, Belize, Costa Rica, Kentucky, Texas, Utah and Arizona. The crew is already busy planning their fourth season shoots, starting in Alaska in July. Viewers may check their local Public Television listings for dates and times and visit Equitrekking.com all this summer to watch online and read Darley’s blog.
