Chef Helps Couples Cook Up Some Romance
World Renowned Author Chef Jernard A. Wells steps outside the culinary box to carve a unique niche and champion the art of "love cooking". Food is at the heart of many activities throughout our lives. It is often the cornerstone when celebrating birthdays, holidays, promotions, and everything in between. A great meal can also be found at many of the romantic encounters experienced throughout life. From first dates to anniversaries, the right food has often been at the heart of helping to light the fire within. Now Chef Jernard A. Wells, Sr., has compiled a cookbook of simple gourmet recipes that anyone can use to create just the right spark.
“This book is designed to help keep, or add, the spice to your love life,” says Chef Wells, author of “88 Ways to Her Heart: ’Cooking For Lovers’ from the Kitchen to the Bedroom,” (Author House, 2007). “A common romantic evening involves starting out with a $50-60 meal. This book teaches people how to make that gourmet meal, with the romance included, for a fraction of the cost, in the comfort of their own home.”
Wells points out that, throughout history, food has often set the mood for any romantic rendezvous. This is because it affects our mind and body in many ways; it can provide energy, act as a sedative or aphrodisiac, and change a person’s mood. Even novice cooks can be chef-like, choosing from his Get Nasty Nachos, Wow Her Wings, or the Cuddle Her Cobbler. The book has become a popular purchase for women who want to surprise their men with a road map to intimate eats.
“The book is written from a man’s point of view,” adds Wells, “but it’s very popular with women. Food and love go hand in hand. I have just brought it all together to show people how to use it to spice things up.”
