The problem with EDC Gold comes when you begin to look into their products. I downloaded a number of their software products and ebooks. And what I found was crap! The software was garbage and the ebooks had nothing that was useful for today’s Internet marketers. They may have been useful 5 years ago when they were written, but now that the Internet has changed so much, they are worthless. You can find a number of these products offered for free on other sites!

This is a big problem! A business without a good product, isn’t going to be a business for long! You need to have a stand alone product to be a success in the long term. No one would ever buy the EDC Gold products without the business opportunity attached. This is a major warning flag. Most of the reps don’t even look at any of the products!

Due to this, I decided to stop promoting EDC Gold and started promoting a business opportunity that has a stand alone product and has been in business for over 20 years! Imagine a product with so much value that many people will buy the product without caring if there is a business opportunity connected with it. If you are considering a business, make sure there is a stand alone product and beware of anyone that says EDC Gold has a stand alone product offering!

I would also add that if you become an EDC Gold rep, you have to compete against the owners of the program Craig and Mike. I feel that this is very unethical that they are competing against their own distributors!It's not that you can't make any money with EDC because there are a few doing it, but I feel that there are much better businesses available.

How to Avoid the Major Problems of Any 1-Up Or 2-Up Plan like EDC Gold: In 1-Up or 2-Up programs such as EDC Gold, you have to pass up one or two sale to your upline.Some of the companies currently using this business model include:

EDC Gold, EDC Diamond, Easy Daily Cash, Passport To Wealth, Roadmap To Riches, Predator Marketing System, Prosperity International, Emerald Passport, Profit Masters, Coastal Vacations,The Overnight Cash System & Liberty League to name just a few. :-)

Well, I'm not going to put down EDC Gold or ANY of the 1Up & 2Up programs as they do work for some people.However, if you have ever worked a 1-Up or 2-Up plan maybe you've come across the following problems.

Problem 1: Your Newbies in particular really struggle with the fact they have to pass up 1 or 2 sales before they begin making money themselves. Let's face it, the hardest sales to make are the first couple, and I've found often Newbies after the 30 day mark, if they haven't made a sale, lose their motivation and pull their advertising before the numbers kick in for them.

Problem 2: Even If you are lucky enough to find a sponsor who helps you with the first few sales, as soon as you are qualified you become their direct competition. If you think they will continue to help you with no financial reward and you are taking sales away from them, you are fooling yourself.

Problem 3: A lack of continued financial compensation for bringing in performers. What do I mean by this? Well, after your team members pass up their "qualifying sales" to you as their sponsor, you do not benefit from any sales they make in the future.

Big deal you may say, as you know you can always open up more Power Lines. This is true, however just think about it for a moment. If someone is good enough to make their qualifying sales, then do you think they will make more? Of course they will.

Imagine if they went on and made 10, 20 or more than 100 sales, wouldn't it be nice if you were still rewarded for introducing them? Now when I had one of my team members tell me they felt 'quite cheated' when they had a player make lots of sales, it was like ding, ding, ding...major problem here.

Now let's get to the fun part. It was for the following above main reasons, plus a couple of minor ones that I then went in search for a program that didn't have any of the above Problems. One that would not conflict with what I was doing and would also, (and this was a big one and why it took me quite a bit of time to find) offer step by step, detailed 'How To..' training on how to market with PPC, Online Classified Ads and much more.

The other thing this opportunity needed to have was a real product that I would use, even if I wasn't going to promote the business opportunity. I found a business that I can feel proud of the product and the pay plan is the best I have seen in 25 years.

Imagine earning $1000. per sale, then $1000 override per sale from all your direct affiliates,then $1000 commissions rolling up to you from infinite depth. We are talking extreme leverage here. Imagine a system where a professional virtual assistant calls all your prospects, does all the explaining and closes the sales for you.

This is for real. I suggest if you have read this far that you take a look and make a educated decision based on facts not hype.
