Brandon Douglas began playing in punk bands in the 80s, sucked in the 90s, and now has found an eclectic musical blend dubbed by one fan as 'acoustic awesomeness'
For_Immediate_Release:

United States of America (Press Release) June 10, 2008 -- http://brandondouglasmusic.com — Although barely in grade school in the early 80s, Brandon Douglas carries heavy New Wave 80s influences from Elvis Costello, Joe Jackson, Oingo Boingo, Howard Jones, Crowded House, Sting and the Police, which he brings into his eclectic acoustic music.

Unique songs from his debut album, LOOSE ENDS, bring a smile to your face as you listen to his unaffected voice describe: the beloved Seinfeld character, George Costanza, demanding an apology, being ostracized as the only longboard surfer in Huntington Beach, and his daydreaming, geek journey into C.S. Lewis’ Narnia. More sentimental tracks are inspired by his daughter, working through tough times in relationships, and youth groups he invested a lot of time with.

“My music, like my personality, is a bit off the mainstream. But it seems everyone likes at least something about it. Some come away liking my acoustic arrangements, others say I rock the bass, and others empathize with my more serious side.”

Brandon’s biggest strength is in his songwriting ability. Playing all of the instruments on the album, except the drums, gives him a composer’s ability to write entire arrangements down to the last note. He credits inspiration to fellow multi-instrumentalist/arrangers such as Sufjan Stevens, Brit Daniel of Spoon and Andrew Bird.

His blog, http://brandondouglasmusic.com, compliments his disc and amplifies his quirky nature and love for music. One can easily get lost in his hand picked music mixes (ie indie rock, 80s New Wave, Jazz, Classical) and laughable coming of age stories depicting his life growing up as an 80s child in Southern California.
—CAUTION: His close friends tab him as “The Embellisher”.—

Having a strong background as an E-Commerce manager, international business and internet specialist, lends him the savvy know-how to give his music away free and still be profitable. Currently an affiliate program is available which allows listeners, bloggers and marketers to share his music and the profits.
