United States of America (Press Release) June 10, 2008 --
May 30, 2008 – Clearwater, FL - The Law Offices of Stamatakis & Thalji have recently settled an auto accident claim on behalf of a 57 year old Clearwater woman for $12,500. The accident occured when our client was rear-ended while stopped at a red light on her way to enjoy the day at Clearwater Beach. Our client was struck by two-cars, although one driver was mainly the cause of the accident. Our client suffered from whiplash, soft tissue injuries in her lower back. An MRI also revealed that our client did suffer an aggravation of a pre-existing back injury. Our client did not retain us until 9 months after the accident occured. The client attended treatment on her own during this period and attempted to negotiate the settlement with the insurance company on her own. The highest offer she received from the insurance company was only $1,500.
After retaining our firm, we resubmitted a demand for settlement on her behalf and ultimatley settled the claim for $12,500. Attorney Sami Thalji was able to negotiate the balance of outstanding medical bills to a fraction of the amount originally due and the client was able to retain the difference.
This poor lady was convinced that the insurance companies would treat her fairly without a lawyer. She told me that she always believed that lawyers were the problem....until this accident. American Family (not much family love) offered her $1500, that was only 1/4 of her overall bills. All State (or All Snake) ran and hid and didn't even try to contact my client or offer her a settlement.
The bottom line: don't go it alone folks. The insurance companies are all hot air. They collect premiums but deny claims.....unless you hire a lawyer. Give me a call or drop ma an email if you or your family or friends are injured. I will help.
