Germany (Press Release) June 20, 2008 --
This year, Europe’s leading conference and trade show for digital marketing –Online Marketing Düsseldorf (17–18 September 2008) will be more diverse than ever: New themes such as mobile, IPTV, blog and viral marketing as well as the presence of full-service Internet agencies will give an important boost to the show’s concept. With a number of new exhibitors from Germany and increasingly from abroad, the show covers the whole spectrum of digital marketing. The main themes of the previous years such as online advertising, performance marketing, media, market research as well as online services will remain the driving forces for this lead industry event.
Three months ahead of opening day, the organiser company, Igedo, can already draw its first conclusions: by mid-June 2008, 20% more exhibitor space has been sold compared to the previous year (10,939 sqm so far for 2008 compared with a total of 9,504 sqm in 2007), a result that tops the organiser’s forecast.
Not least because of the extended thematic event programme, this year’s show is highly attractive for an increasing number of new exhibitors: Internet agencies (e.g. Syzygy, Denkwerk, Clickactivities), mobile marketing companies (e.g. Yoc, Cellular, Net Mobile) and IPTV/WebTV specialists (such as TV1.de) have already registered for the show, which confirms that Digital Marketing is becoming more and more diverse. But of course, companies from other online and mobile marketing areas such as e-Commerce or media companies continue to maintain a strong presence at the show.
Diversification in Digital Marketing Continues
The variety of exhibitors from all kinds of industry sectors is an indication on how diverse the market for digital marketing has become. “Online Marketing is certainly an important part of Digital Marketing, but only a part of it,” said Alexander Felsenberg, Director New Media at Igedo Company. In comparison: 7% of the exhibitors in 2007 were active in online marketing; in 2008 this figure increased to more than 10%.
The conference programme will also reflect the extended thematic variety. For example, a series of presentations will focus on the theme “TV meets Web”. In addition, a recently conducted podcast study will be presented. There will be a special panel on Mobile Marketing in the forum on the first day of the conference. The topic Social Communities will be also very high on the agenda of the conference.
Online Marketing Düsseldorf 2008: A Top-Class Reflection of What’s Going on in the Industry
“Specifically for companies that advertise online, the Online Marketing Düsseldorf show is the most important event of the year for Digital Marketing,” added Mr. Felsenberg. “Visitors can rest assured that the whole industry will be there and we do our utmost to offer to all exhibitors and visitors an excellent event.”
