Appealing to jazz connoisseurs and music enthusiasts alike, the trumpeter and his band, The Maurice Brown Effect, will perform two shows on June 23, 2008 at NYC’s famed Blue Note Jazz Club. The band is also scheduled to perform on June 28, 2008 as part of the Saratoga Jazz Fest. Brown attributes the popularity of his music to the fact that it “breaks down the generational divide by bringing jazz into the present with fresh sounds while staying true to hard bop roots”.
