All Sports Trader

(Free-Press-Release.com) June 30, 2008 -- All Sports Trader was founded in 2008 by Pat Bockenstette to provide an online venue to serve Southern California sports lovers of all ages. It's a family-owned business located in Orange County, California.

The name "All Sports Trader" comes from the company's ultimate purpose. The word "trader" means that this site provides a centralized place to trade information, opinions, knowledge and equipment. The words "all sports" refer to the full range of sports that are included: baseball, football, basketball, soccer, hockey, tennis, golf, surfing, fishing, camping and more.

It all started in a garage (as do many great companies). The idea for All Sports Trader came from Pat's need to deal with the surplus of used sporting equipment in his own garage. Pat, his wife, and his four children have been actively involved in multiple sports throughout their lives, so their garage quickly filled up with used baseball bats, gloves, hockey sticks, helmets, soccer balls, basketballs, footballs and other gear. They tried disposing of sporting goods through garage sales, donations and swap meets, but believed there should be an easier way to do this within the local community.

Pat decided that a local sports auction website would solve that problem. But he wanted to take it one step further, adding information of interest to the local sports community. He decided to include a wide variety of content, such as local team schedules and stats; lists of sports camps and trainers; articles about specific sports (everything from team sports to fishing and camping); and a forum for discussion. (The forum will be activated as we build a user base.)This unique combination of trading and information platform serves as a perfect online resource for any local sports community
