Bloggers who are tired of the traditional dating scene have a new website to visit for which they can meet their soulmate.
Shagablogger.com, set up by 6 year blogging veteran Rhys Wynne, is a dating site set up for bloggers. The site contains an active forum, and profiles created by bloggers with links to the potential suitor's blogs, twitter profiles, facebook and variety of social media platforms, as well as more traditional questions such as age, body shape, and interests.
"Bloggers have a bit of a hard time finding people who understand their hobby", Rhys said. "I generally feel that as bloggers share a lot of themselves online, it can be tricky to explain this to a outside party. What better than having another blogger to share your life with?".
Shagablogger launched late in June, and has already featured on a selection of popular blogs such as johnchow.com and ning.com. Something Rhys has had to contend with, as the site outgrew it's first server pretty quickly.
"The launch has been quite something. We've had a few snags but other than that we've gone from strength to strength."
If you are not a blogger, Shagablogger.com is still for you. As Rhys points out: "It's not just for bloggers, as it's called shagablogger.com, you don't need to be a blogger. There's plenty of discussion open for all, blogger or not."
So has Rhys, which according to his profile is 24 year old residing in Colwyn Bay on the North Wales coast, found true love through the site yet? "Not yet", he retorts, "but there have been a number of meetups and social events already in it's short existance. I offer advice and warning on meeting people, but I feel meeting bloggers generally have a quite good idea of people before meeting them.".
However, Rhys has achieved his first ambition, his blog has more people reading it because of shagablogger.com than before.
