The banner this year will be including the 07-08 Team that made it to the playoofs, the T-birds hadn't been to the playoffs since 2000 season. Kennard Shaw, Mesa Community College6'2 205 freshmen forward/guard will be returning to play at Mesa Community College for 08’-09' sophomore season. Kennard Shaw brings toughness and heart to the team; with his determination to succeed he is a great fit for any team. He has great mental toughness and is a true team player. Kennard Shaw played his role the past season averaging 6.3 ppg 5.6 rpg 1.2 stl 3.2 asst 12.3 min with his great knowledge of the game he opened up the floor for the Thunderbirds. Kennard Shaw battled tendonitis in both knees through 07'-08' season, he hopes to contribute more to the Heart of the team this upcoming 2008-09 season, and get to the NJCAA National Tournament under new head coach, William Ballard.
