While versions of Tetris were sold for a range of 1980s home computer platforms, it was the hugely successful handheld version for the Game Boy launched in 1989 that established the reputation of the game as one of the most popular ever. EGM's 100th issue had Tetris in first place as greatest game of all time. In 2007, Tetris came in second place in IGN's 100 Greatest Video Games of All Time.

How to play: Click start to begin, then use the arrow keys to control the speed of the falling block by pressing the down arrow, press the up arrow to change the facing of the falling block and press left and right to control where the block will land.
Objective: To score as many lines as possible - as you get lines, the game will speed up.
There is no downloading required to play this game, and loading is very quick, especially on cable/dsl, it takes roughly 3-5 seconds to load on high speed cable/dsl, but may take up to a minute on dialup connection.
