Discover Why Lifelock.com Is Not 100% Identity Theft Protection
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) July 9, 2008 --
Identity theft is a major problem in the United States and is only increasing in numbers as more and more people become victims each and every day. LifeLock.com claims to be the number #1 identity theft protection service yet it is flawed in so many ways. What America doesn't need is a service purporting to protect individuals from identity theft but does the exact opposite.
Let's examine Lifelock.com a litte closer...
Experts have all agreed from the financial sector all the way to the private sector that the only real detterent to identity theft is "secrecy" yet we see that LifeLock.com ignores this expert advice when they ask their customers for power of attorney to set fraud alerts on their behalf, which has even ignited a legal battle between
Lifelock and Experian to the effect that the decision made by the lawsuit will decide whether or not Lifelock.com will be allowed to act as a third party on behalf of their customers. Currently the law states that only individuals can set fraud alerts and that's what Experian's position is against Lifelock.com.

personal information because they store their customers sensitive personal information, employees access it, and even though they have security in place everyone knows that no website is safe from professional hackers who are determined to gain access. Not only that, but their employees have access to this information and all it takes is one bad apple and you could fall victim to identity theft. This is a major flaw in the Lifelock.com business model.
Similarly, there are a dozen or so copy cat webistes and services out there who also follow the same exact business model that Lifelock.com is using as well. This places you (the consumer) at risk, and it's a 2 fold risk at that. Secrecy is not utilized and even completely ignored by such services, and to make matters worse they store the sensitive personal information you are trying to protect from being stolen. Doesn't that defeat the entire purpose? These are the two main ways that Lifelock.com fails to protect the consumer from identity theft. To get the protection you deserve and find out why secrecy plays a major role in protecting you from identity theft there is only one service currently out there offering what the others don't. Don't settle for anything less.
