Microsoft Dynamics GP is supported by Microsoft Business Solutions through partners or resellers channel and you should expect the changes in user licensing, purchasing options, software and implementation financing. At this time, Summer of 2008, on the mid-market ERP we see the tendency to price user on so-called all-in-one model, where you pay for the user and you get the bundle of modules included. For additional or current info we suggest you to contact us or your active GP partner or VAR of records:
1. Business Ready pricing model. This is current at the time of writing pricing model and if you are looking for new GP purchase, you should decide on either Business Essentials or Advanced Management
2. Business Essentials. If you are small company and looking for small number of users and basic functionality for your new ERP – Microsoft Great Plains Dynamics GP, then likely you should review this level. You will get such basic GP modules as GL, SOP, POP, Multicurrency to give you an idea. However you will not get access to such functionality as Manufacturing, Field Service – again to give you general picture
3. Advanced Management. This licensing model fits to larger organizations, where you will get such advanced modules as mentioned above in #2, including not available for BE, plus Project Accounting, Lockbox Processing, National Accounts, and others. Advanced Management will give you more flexibility in the future to have your future GP ERP server your organization, without exposing you to unexpected licensing model downsizing possibilities
