Website VillageRatings this week published its 500th review of a British village, making it easier than ever before to discover cute villages around Britain.

The website invites anyone to submit reviews of villages they know and allows ratings based on beauty, architecture, pubs, transport, local schools, community spirit and amenities.
"Getting to 500 reviews is a big milestone for us," explained Matt Collins, the site's founder. "Things started off very slowly, but word seems to have got out about our site and we're now receiving several new reviews a day."
VillageRatings was launched in January 2007 as the first site to rate UK villages. It is run from a small office in South East London and can be found at http://www.villageratings.co.uk/
