Sadowitz departs Publick Cup Team

"It was glamorous...It was inspirational...It was award winning." States manager Benjamin Wilkinson of his time working with Ari Sadowitz at the Publick Cup (nee Koffee Too?). "I really came to work every day a better person knowing (ari)he was on our team." With sadness, the Publick has officially given notice that Sadowitz, despite management's pleas, will be leaving the widely successful and renown organization at the close of this season. Rumors had flown for sometime that the New Haven native, bassist of local rock legends the Smyrk and New Haven Advocate Best of Third Place Best Barista was about depart. "I think they were in denial," states Sadowitz, "I mean, I must have said, 'I'm leaving soon,' a thousand times. Sometimes he (wilkinson) just doesn't hear you when you say something." Management confirmed that Sadowitz's 1 year tenure was one of the best seasons in recent Publick Cup history. During this time the company changed names, redesigned its menu and increased commitment to quality and eco-friendly practices. No doubt Sadowitz's presence was the true inspiration behind Wilkinson's decisions and owner Tracy Jacksons' leadership. They were caught weeping silently one afternoon last week when the news had become official. Catering Supervisor Darice was unavailable for immediate comment, being away on her honeymoon, but, in txt message epitomized the situation, "What r we gonna do? who knows. ari wuz da best, 4 real. ttfn."
