A new kind of fantasy novel!

The Gatekeeper is a blend of fantasy, science fiction, and magic realism. It has a strong female protagonist. Ms Crisp would describe it as quirky.Seventeen year old Drana Sumi has been born to decide the fate of the world of Anatsria. Half-Human, Half-Demon, she is the one born to represent both worlds in the ultimate decision: the joining. She is the Gatekeeper.

The Alliance of Gods seeks to prevent the merger, and has invested its power into two people; Yu, a powerful Rihdarian Princess, and Aidan, the last descendant of the God of Justice, in order to reach Drana. Guiding them in their duties is Watcher Reb, a mysterious man who seems to have been granted eternal life.

Drana has one-hundred days to decide the fate of the two worlds, and both sides will do anything to win her over.

L.M.Crisp was first published in february of 2008, just before her 22nd birthday. She has lived in both Jersey and England, and is now settled in England with her partner. She is an atheist, vegetarian and feminist. Throughout her childhood she travelled extensively, thanks to het hard-working father, and likes to believe that this has made her particularly open minded.

Lisa has also dabbled in poetry, and has a portfolio of around 30 poems, some of which are displayed by Faminghorsestudios and authorsden.


At the moment, Lisa is working on her second novel, Seer, with hopes to release it in 2009. In the future she would like to write at least five more books set in the world of Anatsria, as well as several other projects.
