(Free-Press-Release.com) August 5, 2008 -- Many Funnier Than Famous Comics have found a new Home at killer comedy online

There is a special breed of stand up comic we call “Funnier than Famous”. They are the super talented acts that for one reason or another never got the break that would have propelled them to supper stardom. Many of them have been entertaining audiences since the 1970’s and through the big comedy boom of the 80’s and 90’s. Picking up an appearance on “An evening at the Improv” or a HBO special along the way but nothing to catapult them to supper star status. This is not to say that they are not successful, their job is after all to entertain the audience and they are outstanding at that.

Carl LaBove has raised the bar for physical comedy to a whole new level and is sure to bring down the house. He started his career in Houston at an open mike on the same night as Sam Kinison and they soon became best friends. Carl LaBove became the special guest on all tours and collaborated on three albums and several specials. The two lived every comics dream performing at rock clubs amphitheaters and sold out arenas for the next eight years. The friendship and collaboration tragically ended in April 1992 when Sam and Carl were in route to a gig in Laughlin Nevada. Sam was injured in a car accent and shortly died, as he had lived, with his best friend Carl LaBove at his side.

Carl took some time off before resuming his solo career and today is one of the most sought after headliners working the top clubs and events.

Ben Creed is another talented act that has honed his skills to the point that he is a crowd favorite every place he goes. His voice is gravelly, his material is hilarious and brutally honest.

After giving up a scholarship to study as a Shakespearean actor in LA he moved to New York City. He developed his unique style as a regular on stage at Dangerfield's. Ben was featured on the video called "Comedy’s Dirtiest Dozen" with the likes of Tim Allen and Bill Hicks. He is that good.

Billy D. Washington is also an enormously talented musician, who often incorporates
some deft keyboard playing into his comedy act. He’s so gifted and dazzling on the keyboard he has blown away audiences across the country for years.
After opening a concert in 2003 for Aretha Franklin, she was so impressed by Billy she hired him on the spot to open all her shows nationwide for the next 3 years. Today Billy
Tours select clubs while writing his second screen play.

These are just a few of the comics working today bringing laughter into our lives. The list of “funnier than famous” comics is a long one. They each bring there own uniqueness to the comedy stage for our enjoyment.
