Infiniti Cruises into Concours D’Elegance with New G37 Hard Top Convertible

At the 2008 Concours D’ Elegance, Infiniti will debut the entire new line-up for the 2009 G collection including the new convertible coupe and sedan, which all look stunningly stylish and offer unmatched luxury and power. The G37 Convertible has generated a lot of buzz days before it is set to be unveiled at the Pebble Beach show. The new convertible features enhanced audio technology, new all-wheel drive technology, and new 7-speed automatic transmission with Drive Sport (DS) Mode and Downshift Rev Matching. The G37 Convertible is set to be in Santa Monica in the spring of 2009. California show attendees will confirm that the G37 Convertible promises seductive styling and powerful performance from its 330-hp engine. Fans of the G37 coupe will love the retractable hard top of the G37 Convertible which maintains a coupe-like roofline.

The Infiniti G37 Sport Sedan received an internal upgrade with the addition of a new VQ37VHR "VVEL" 3.7-liter V6 rated at 328 horsepower. Other changes include available sport brakes with 4-piston front/2-piston rear calipers and large 14-inch front and 13.8-inch rear rotors, new sport 18-inch wheel design and standard Scratch Shield paint.
The 2009 G37 Coupe's performance capabilities expand with the addition of the much anticipated G37x AWD model. Also new for the Coupe is a 7-speed automatic transmission with Drive Sport (DS) Mode and Downshift Rev Matching. The 2009 G37 Coupe is available in four models – G37, G37 Journey, G37S Sport 6MT and G37x AWD – each with standard 330-horsepower 3.7-liter VQ-series V6 with VVEL technology.

The 2009 G models go on sale at Infiniti of Santa Monica in September with the convertible G37 arriving in the Spring of 2009. Infiniti of Santa Monica will be taking pre-orders for the 2009 G37 Convertible starting after the weekend events at the Concours D’ Elegance.
