FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) August 19, 2008 --
Veteran talk show host Michael Dresser interviews Morgan St.James,co-author of the zany Silver Sisters Mysteries series Wednesday,August 20, 2008,10:30 AM EST/1:30 PM PST on Lifestyle Talk Radio Network. They will discuss how sisters who have lived in different states became best friends through creating this series. Listen live, or check www.silversistersmysteries.com on or after August 22, 2008 to hear the interview.
Morgan splits her time between Las Vegas and California. Her sister, Phyllice Bradner, who lived in Juneau, Alaska most of her adult life, now lives in Oregon. Because Phyllice moved to Alaska at age twenty, they were never close.
But they loved funny mysteries, and decided to create a series with of their own basing characters upon their personalities. The Silver Sisters are identical twins Goldie Silver, an aging flower child from Juneau, owns an antique store and Godiva Olivia DuBois, a manipulative, wealthy widow writes her advice column from her Beverly Hills mansion.
Morgan says Goldie is like Phyllice, but only parts of Godiva are like her. She doesn’t live in Beverly Hills, gives lots of advice but doesn’t write a column and certainly isn’t as selfish as Godiva. The twins’ feisty eighty-year-old mother and uncle, former vaudeville magicians who love to dress up in costumes and go undercover, are the perfect foil as the sidekick “elder-sleuths.”
Some of their other characters are inspired by wacky family members and friends. Morgan and Phyllice are not twins, but since the series debuted, when they are together, people ask if they are.
The first Silver Sisters novel, "A Corpse in the Soup", is a crazy romp through the world of TV chefs in search of a killer. Available in all formats, Motion, Inc. and the e-book and paperback, published by Wings e-Press, this whodunit garnered many favorable reviews. The audio version was named Best Mystery Audio Book 2007 by USA Book News. Audio and paperback are sold on Amazon, Borders and Target websites. The audio book is in many libraries. Books in Motion, Inc. is producing the second book, "Seven Deadly Samovars", with release anticipated late this year. "Vanishing Act in Vegas" is currently in work.
Morgan says she considers herself an accidental author. As an interior designer, she was asked to write some magazine articles, and with several published, expanded the subjects she wrote about, finally evolving to novels and short stories. She is currently working on two other stand-alone novels; a funny book in the spirit of Nine to Five meets First Wives Club, and a woman-in-jeopardy drama. Her short stories can be found on Amazon Shorts, "Chicken Soup for the Shopper’s Soul","Chicken Soup for the Soul: Celebrating People Who Make a Difference", and "Writer’s Bloc II". She frequently appears as a speaker and on author’s panels.
