Asia’s leading drug and alcohol rehab has added interventions to it’s list of services

(Free-Press-Release.com) August 19, 2008 -- Channah Thailand, Asia’s leading drug and alcohol rehabilitation centre has expanded it’s services to include assisted interventions, as well as they are now willing to take individuals that need residential treatment for depression, anxiety, anger management and eating disorders.

We decided to add interventions to our list of services since there seems to be a serious need and there is nobody doing this service in Asia that we have been able to find. The simple explanation for thoughts that do not know, is your loved one has a problem with drugs or alcohol and isn’t willing to go to treatment. You bring in a professional therapist with experience to try and convince the person to get help. The only goal of an intervention is to convince the addict that they need help and to seek it now rather then later. The counselor comes to you, plans the meeting ahead of time then with your help confronts the individual.

Recently we also took a lady who has been in therapy for depression, anxiety, and eating disorders for years. At first our concern was that it would affect the drug and alcohol programme but the lady was in serious need of our help and we just couldn’t turn her away. Cognitive behavioral therapy is very affect with depression and other disorders and we found that she integrated seamlessly with the other clients at the centre. As a result we have decided to expand our services on a case by case basis.

The lead therapists a Channah Thailand each have over 15 years of experience dealing with drug and alcohol clients as well as other physiological ailments in the UK and other countries. The centre is set on six acres of beautiful and lush gardens on the banks of the River Kwai in Thailand. Each client gets their own private bungalow and the entire atmosphere is conductive to healing. A visit to Channah Thailand is more akin to a working holiday in a beautiful resort setting. The programme however is very intensive and clients are expected to work hard to make the changes in their lives that are needed.
