Graham Boltz ready to the first to Kite Board across Hawaii's largest channel - Oahu to Kauai

(Free-Press-Release.com) August 25, 2008 -- Graham Boltz, a pro kite surfer from Oahu, is well under way to complete his latest ocean adventure; 65 nautical mile pacific ocean channel crossing from Oahu to Kauai. Currently he is ready to sail today, just waiting on the correct winds and weather conditions.

He in no stranger to inter island crossings. He has windsurfed from Molokai to Oahu solo. Graham and a friend once raced each other windsurfing from Maui to Oahu. More recently, in his typical fashion - with little who-ha and fan fair, Graham was the first to kite surf Molokai to Oahu. He crossed the Kaiwi channel unescorted relying on his 5 ft kite board, 15 meter kite and compass to get him home.
On the larger scale he recently sailed from California to Hawaii with his brother. With a combined sailing experience of 7 hrs prior to the trip His Arrival to Oahu, 20 days later was in typical Graham fashion beating all odds.

For this Oahu to Kauai crossing, he is armed with a 6ft 2 inch board, GPS, cell, personal EPIRB, inflatable life vest and a few other necessities. With an expect sailing time of 6 hours, Graham hopefully will have time to realize the significance of his adventures as pillars to the use of wind power for transportation, electricity (Makani Power) and recreation.
