Alameda County's 2008 Benefit Fashion Show

(Free-Press-Release.com) August 25, 2008 -- Rock the Runway Fashion Show organizers welcome you to come out to this remarkable fashion show to benefit leading nonprofits in Alameda County, because these organizations are dedicated to helping foster care youth become productive young adults. Please set your plans now for one of the best events in the Bay Area “Rock the Runway Fashion Show.” We expect over 1,200 philanthropic and caring individuals to attend – representing the fashion and entertainment industry, major corporations as well as Oakland community leaders.

“Rock the Runway Fashion Show” will be donating fashion show proceeds to three deserving and effective nonprofit organizations:
Bay Area Crisis Nursery of Concord, CA., provides crucial care to parents and children in their time of greatest need.
Mario B Productions Modeling Class of Oakland, CA.., is a community transformation and youth - personal development organization. Mario’s modeling classes are designed as a gateway to building self-esteem and self-worth among East Bay youth.

The Independent Living Program (ILP) of Alameda County, Oakland, CA, helps youth participants learn essential life skills important to becoming successful adults through educational courses. Through dynamic one-on-one counseling, these young people develop healthy relationships, self-esteem/self image, along with a broad range of living skills in: anger management, personal goals achievement, conflict resolution strategies and peer pressure issues such as when/how to say no to peers, violence prevention tactics and dressing for success advice.
Rock the Runway organizers believe in the power of giving and want to reach out and make a difference in our community. Nonprofit organizations are a crucial part of our society in providing help to the needy and less fortunate. It’s through the generosity of the business leaders to keep these services available to our families throughout the East Bay community.
