Berkeley, Calif.¬ Alpha Epsilon Zeta Fraternity proudly announces the long-anticipated rollout of its new homepage just in time for U.C Berkeley’s fall 2008 semester.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) September 1, 2008 --
Taking the web 2.0 approach was a no-brainer as the brothers sought to modernize the face of their struggling online presence. Still in its beta testing phase, the website has garnered rave reviews from alumni, current brothers, and those affiliated with the Fraternity.
“I'm absolutely excited about (the website),” said President Nikhil Arora. “It offers visitors a lot more easily accessible information, integrated with the newest web 2.0 technologies.
So far those web 2.0 technologies include a very user-friendly back office to manage content creation and publishing via WordPress blog integration, Google Calendar integration, and site search integration.
“But this is just the beginning,” said alumni Prabhu Ramaswamy. “We
want to take the website to the next level by integrating chat, a more robust database management system, and perhaps even an online store to purchase AEZ apparel. I work in website design and development and this website is on par with top agency work.”
The main purpose of the website is to promote AEZ amongst the U.C. Berkeley crowd by maintaining a strong web presence. It also provides a way for others, namely prospective rushes, to learn about the Fraternity’s ideals, and past and current initiatives.
Said Arora, “We hope the redesign helps make it easier for those interested to learn more about our brothers, our history, and our vision for what we are trying to create”.
