New York Waste Water Company Jet Vacs Pipes Clogged With Aquatic Life

The facility was left with a fishy situation in their pipes which extend from teh tanks at its facility on shore into the water. The underwater pipes became clogged with stubborn aquatic life clinging to the pipes.

This establishment located in Cape May is dedicated to the research of marine life on the New Jersey shore. Under the direction of marine biologists at Rutgers University, the facility is designed to study and promote the cultivation of finfish and shellfish industries in the state.

Lengthy hoses and an air compressor were brought to the site so they could Jet Vac the pipes. A professional diver was hired to insert the jets into the submerged pipes where they discharged into the ponds, and compressors were set to provide just enough high pressure air to clear the piping of the marine. The piping was cleaned a distance of 120 feet and helped the facility continue on with its mission.
