Portraits of Light, a vibrant and energetic show of abstract photographs by Jocelyn Mathewes, will be on display throughout September 2008 at Yellow Dog Tavern. Rich, saturated hues dominate, featuring happy accidents and intentional compositions alike. Mathewes explores of both artificial and natural light sources using a variety of techniques—long exposures, shaking the camera, and photographing moving objects, and more. The result is a rainbow of textures and moods, sure to please the eye.
