General Data to Showcase Lab Solutions and Live Blog at NSH

(Free-Press-Release.com) September 9, 2008 -- CINCINNATI – Sept. 9, 2008 – General Data Company, Inc. (www.general-data.com) will exhibit at the upcoming National Society for Histotechnology (NSH) Symposium/Convention, which takes place Sept 12 - 18 in Pittsburgh, Pa.

But General Data plans to do more than just show its bar code identification solutions for the lab. It plans to share the entire conference experience with the world through its blog. Ralph Moher, General Data’s Vice President of Marketing, will be “live blogging” from the conference. He wants to use General Data’s healthcare blog “to be the eyes and ears for the entire histo-community, particularly those who could not attend the event.”

“My goal is to post daily reports about what’s happening at NSH, what's hot, what's on the mind of the people at NSH and what attendees are talking about,” said Moher.

Moher will post photos, write daily entries about the sessions and post photos and videos. In addition, the blog will showcase General Data’s and other exhibitors’ booths at the conference. The blog (www.general-data.com/blogs/viewblog.aspx), which debuted earlier this summer as part of General Data’s new healthcare website, is dedicated to discussing patient safety, healthcare IT, bar coding and RFID, and other trends and developments that impact the healthcare community.

Histotechnology is the science dealing with the structure of cells and their formation into tissues and organs. The conference is expecting to host laboratory personnel and students from institutions across the country. The NSH’s 34th Annual Symposium/Convention aims to give leaders in histology the chance to learn new methods, share best practices and preview the latest and greatest industry vendors have to offer.
