Icon of The Blessed Mother, Our Lady Queen of Peace Comes to Life; Gives Profound Message for the Wo

LOS ANGELES--A life size icon of The Blessed Mother, Our Lady Queen of Peace, came to life recently and gave a profound message for the world to be released on September 11th, 2008, the 7th anniversary of 9-11. The message, received on September 4th by Shri Natha Devi Premananda, founding minister of Eagle Wings of Enlightenment Center, a South LA center dedicated to peace and non-violence, stated that,"God has given us a choice to choose from right and wrong. Man has led himself astray. One hour of silent meditation a day will help man regain his true relationship with God." According to the spiritual teacher, on September 4th, the 8-foot icon, commissioned in March 2000, "began to vibrate and emit light. The transmitted message began at 7:58 a.m. and concluded at 8:24 a.m." Our Lady stated, "World peace is inevitable for the Earth's dominion belongs to God, not man." She continued, "Man's life should be based on the principles of truth, love charity, forgiveness and peace. When man has upset teh natural order inteh creation, he brings the wrath upon himself." The message noted that man's role on Earth is as a guardian, "not a destroyer. As guardian, he is to share what he has with others, take care of the sick, shelter the poor, help the helpless and not to kill animals senselessly." The Blessed Mother's message further stated that, "God wants humanity to serve his will. By doing this, there will be no room for errors and mistakes and harm towards one another. Lean to the understanding of Truth and know that in the beginning was the Word and the Word became flesh, and the Word dwells among men." Completed in 2003, the icon is the first known icon to be painted while apparitions of The Blessed Mother are still taking place today in Bosnia-Herzegovina since first occuring there to visionaries in 1981. It is composed of oil pigments on Baltic birch panel with three types of pure gold leaf, ground crystal, iridescent mica, lapis lazuli and inlaid tanzanite. The 7-layer gesso underlay incorporates holy Lourdes water and Chalice Well water from Glastonbury, UK.
