(Free-Press-Release.com) September 11, 2008 --
Moppet Togs, Boise Idaho's premiere children's consignment sale, announced today that it will be holding its Fall 2008 sale from Thursday, September 18, 2008 to Saturday, September 20, 2008 at 8001 West Fairview Avenue in Boise, Idaho near the corner of Fairview and Milwaukee. The company has indicated that doors will be open to the public on Thursday and Friday from 10:00 am until 6:00 pm and on Saturday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.
"We had a record turn out at our Spring 2008 sale due in part to drive by traffic at this location near the intersection of Fairview and Milwaukee," states Karie Skamser, founder and managing partner with Moppet Togs. "Not only is location near the Boise Town Square Mall, it is also near one of the busiest intersections in the state. Now that our shoppers know where we are located, we expect an even higher turnout at our upcoming sale in Fall 2008," continues Mrs. Skamser.
Moppet Togs held its first sale in the fall of 2005 and has been holding a spring and fall sale each year ever since. Open to the public for only three (3) days, the partnership reports that the Moppet Togs sales are growing exponentially and as such, they are continually having to secure larger locations and employ more workers and volunteers.
"We started Moppet Togs back in 2005 because we were tired of garage sales and wanted to offer the Treasure Valley market a venue to buy and sell gently used boutique and name brand children's clothes such as Gymboree, MiniBoden, Old Navy, The Children's Place and Gap, toys, furniture and accessories at reasonable prices," states Mrs. Skamser. "Starting with our first sale, we have quickly grown into a much bigger business than we had ever imagined. We had over 250 Consignors at our Spring 2008 sale with more than 15,000 items and 5,000 shoppers over the three day sale," continues Mrs. Skamser.
The Company reports that it has automated its entire business with an online inventory control system that enables shoppers to enter and price all of their items over the Internet in the privacy and comfort of their own homes. Workers then print bar-coded price tags at a predefined drop off location and attach the tags to the items when consignors drop them off. The Company further reports that checkout is also automated through an integrated online POS system that supports barcode readers and real-time inventory control. Further, Moppet Togs has an integrated online accounting system that enables them to report sales to its consignors at the end of every sale day and have consignor payments ready within several days after the sale closes.
Moppet Togs also utilized advanced Internet Marketing and communications technology as it relies on a sophisticated Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to continuously update its Consignors and invite the public to its sales. The Company reports that its expects to send out over 20,000 emails in connection with the Fall 2008 sale.
