WMOV SIGNS EXCLUSIVE WITH CBS NEWS; SOLIDIFIES POSITION AS RADIO NEWS LEADER IN MID OHIO VALLEY
For the first time in WMOV 1360 AM's 50 year history, the local Ravenswood, West Virginia station has become a CBS NEWS affiliate, the most prestigious network in broadcasting.

(Ravenswood, WV) In an exclusive arrangement with WMOV, the new agreement brings CBS NEWS coverage to listeners at the top of each hour, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. WMOV is the only radio station in the Mid Ohio Valley with the rights to provide CBS NEWS coverage for its’ listeners.
In addition to the hourly 5 minute newscast and the 8am CBS WORLD NEWS ROUNDUP, WMOV will carry several additional CBS NEWS features, including:
-CBS EVENING NEWS anchor KATIE COURIC’s afternoon update at 4:33pm
-CBS NEWS correspondent CHARLES OSGOOD with the OSGOOD FILE each morning at 6:41am, 7:41am, 8:41am and 9:33am.
-CBS NEWS MARKETWATCH updates throughout the day.
-CBS NEWS correspondent DAVE ROSS’ daily feature at 12:33pm
-CBS NEWS Medical Correspondent DR. EMILY SENAY’s HEALTHWATCH at 5:33pm.

In a special on-line agreement, WMOV is also broadcasting all CBS NEWS content live on the station’s website www.wmov1360.com. The coverage from CBS will compliment WMOV’s existing hourly local newscasts and statewide news updates from the West Virginia MetroNews Network.
WMOV is a past recipient of Station of the Year honors from the West Virginia Broadcasters Association. The station recently completed a major renovation to its facility with the purchase of a new transmitter and tower, and has quadrupled its broadcast coverage area reaching potential listeners as far away from its Jackson County tower as Charleston, Huntington and Parkersburg West Virginia and Athens Ohio.
