Cantey Hanger attorney John Johndroe
Named One of Tarrant’s 12 ‘Power Attorneys’

FORT WORTH – An independent panel commissioned by the Fort Worth Business Press has selected John Johndroe, a partner with Cantey Hanger LLP., one of 12 Tarrant County “2008 Power Attorneys.”

The 12 attorneys, according to the Business Press, have “reputations in law (that are) unmatched and (are) highly respected for their accomplishments.”

Johndroe is Chairman of Cantey Hanger’s Litigation Section and concentrates his practice in litigation affecting real estate interests, including condemnation, real property valuations, transactional conflicts and boundary disputes. He has tried many cases involving real estate issues and has been called upon to provide expert testimony with regard to land titles as well as to act as a mediator in the resolution of real property disputes.
In addition, he has handled many cases at the appellate level, appearing before Texas Courts of Appeals, the Supreme Court of Texas and the Fifth Circuit of the United States Court of Appeals.
He is a frequent lecturer at real property valuation and condemnation seminars for attorneys and appraisers.

Johndroe is a 1967 graduate of Yale University and received his juris doctorate from The University of Texas School of Law in 1970.
He was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 1970, is a Texas Bar Foundation Life Member and is Board Certified Civil Trial Law, Texas Board of Legal Specialization. He was admitted to U.S. Court of Appeals 5th Circuit (1975), to U.S. District Court Northern District of Texas (1970), to U.S. District Court Eastern District of Texas (1975) and to U.S. District Court Western District of Texas(1980).
