Michigan company develops alternative to whitetail baiting ban

September 23, 2008

The Michigan baiting ban has turned many hunters away from the woods this season. Hunters who grew up hunting over bait feel lost. Unfortunately, fewer hunters means less revenue for wildlife.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) September 23, 2008 -- Michigan Company Develops an Alternative to Baiting for the 2008 Deer Season.

An Idea Is Born

Innovative Hunting Solutions, Inc. was developed in 2000 by Dale Syer and Dave Lee, who are Whitetail fanatics. They grew up together and followed the same interest of hunting from an early age
Bow hunting became an annual ritual as both partners headed to the woods each fall in pursuit of big whitetails. Each had their own successes and failures but together they were able to create techniques that allowed them to be more successful.

Working together they came up with several prototypes of the Big Buck Ballz to test. The units worked successfully and an idea was born. Over the next few seasons several record book bucks were harvested and the need to carry the project to the next level was inevitable.

The third partner Cam Cogsdill, is an Engineer and Tool Maker by trade and was brought on board to help improve the working mechanism of the Ballz. He developed the unique quarter turn cam action lock system that is now used. Cam is an avid Whitetail hunter with over 35 years of hunting experience throughout North America. He is also a Boone & Crockett and Pope & Young Official Measure, and has served on the Board of Directors of several hunting organizations.

The partnership was formed with a goal to improve and simplify hunter's efforts in the field.

The first product developed was the Big Buck Ballz, a leak proof, airtight, scent disposal system unlike any other on the market. Its design allows the hunter to use their favorite scent without the normal mess that hunters are accustom to. It has been tested and improved over the past five years to its final design and is the only unit on the market that has been engineered specifically to be thrown from a hunter's shot location.

Through research, the partners developed new techniques for patterning trophy whitetails. They found that by using scents in conjunction with trail cameras, stand locations could be precisely placed to intercept the quarry they were after.

The unit comes in hunter orange and black, and each is equipped with a special biological wicking material that is especially designed to hold and conserve scents. The unit is equally effective as a camera aid and allows hunters to utilize this unique device in the pre-season scouting months.

Additional products are currently in design and scheduled for release in late 2009. This is definitely a company on the move.
