ACM Records presents classical composer Roger Lasher Nortman

ACM artist Roger Lasher Nortman is one of the world’s most prolific classical composers who has written several moving works including twenty-four symphonies, twelve concerti for various instruments, six quartets and several other chamber works. He has been the recipient of many awards including The Beaux Arts Society's Best Composer Award and has done extensive work with the Manhattan School of Music, one of the world’s most premier music conservatories. A resurgence of interest in classical music has recently seen Roger Lasher Nortman’s music boost in sales via the Internet, and with a new distribution deal between ACM Records and Amazon.com, his music will be available through physical CD format and digital format on a global scale. Roger is a living legend who is one of the last post romantic composers of our time.

Roger Lasher Nortman has composed a vast musical collection over his many years of exceptional composition that is both bold and dynamic. An excellent example is his lyrical Symphony #6 in Bb Major in 3 movements. This work features a soprano solo in the 2nd Movement. Many traditional composers, after writing five dramatic symphonies, create the 6th as a pastoral interpretation. This is especially apparent in the melodic flow of the 1st Movement. The Scherzo middle movement sings subjective poetry by a talented poetess and is both melodic and dramatic. The finale is rhythmic with strings playing staggered bowing.

ACM is planning to promote a series of concerts and release documentary on the works of Roger Lasher Nortman. In order to pay tribute and support Roger Lasher Nortman and his timeless music, ACM is looking for symphonic orchestras willing to perform his pieces live and for conductors who are willing to work with him.
